It's a few minutes until Gideon comes into the bathroom with a cup of tea in each hand and the rapier slung on her hip like it belongs there. Which she guesses it does, one way or another.

"Here," she says, setting the mug with Harrow's lemon tea on the side of the tub. "You want me to close the door?"
